It is a beautiful crisp sunny day outside, too cold still to begin yard work and spring planting. According to Mr. Groundhog we still have several more weeks of winter. I am anxious to get out there and bring the yard back to life, and to find out how many of our plants will once again turn green. Kind of like waiting to see what Santa left....
Other happenings this week are a road trip to Lafayette in the rolling "Buxton Bed and Breakfast". We are going to see the newest "Grand baby in progress" via 4D Ultrasound, Rick's 2nd daughter Lindsey is due with little Miss Mckenzie Belle Thibodeaux around the 25th of April. Meanwhile, I have been busy making her announcement wreath that will greet guests at the door of her shower in March, and will then hang on her hospital door once she is born. It's been a tradition for me to make the door decoration for all of the grand babies, which I love to do. Since the nursery colors are pink, cream, and brown and Lindsey requested I use tulle this is how the creation has turned out using cream and pink tulle, tiny brown ribbon bows with pink pearl pins and Swarovski tear drop crystals. I am still tweaking the placement of the brown bows which is easy to do since they are pinned on. The additional ribbon streamers will contain all of Miss Mckenzie's stats once she arrives.
Have a wonderful and blessed day!
